- Hyacinth macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) merupakan salah satu jenis burung yang hidup di wilayah tropis Amerika Selatan. Burung ini memiliki daya tarik visual yang terdapat pada warna bulunya, dan kerap dijadikan sumber inspirasi dalam dunia fashion, terutama untuk kostum artwear. Berdasarkan hasil riset, belum ditemukannya transformasi burung tersebut ke dalam inpirasi rancangan evening gown yang menerapkan teknik embellishment. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penciptaan ini adalah menemukan bentuk inovatif dari transformasi visual Hyacinth Macaw ke dalam rancangan evening gown dengan penerapan teknik embellishment. Selain karena keindahannya, burung ini dipilih karena statusnya yang termasuk dalam daftar terancam punah (red list) menurut IUCN (2016), sehingga karya ini diharapkan menjadi sarana kampanye pelestarian fauna. Proses penciptaan menggunakan metode Kreasi Artistik dari Prof. Dharsono yang meliputi tiga tahap: eksperimen, perenungan, dan pembentukan, dengan hasil akhir berupa tiga busana evening gown yang disajikan dalam bentuk fashion show serta video sinematik.
- The Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) is a bird species native to tropical South America. Its visually striking feather coloration makes it a frequent source of inspiration in the fashion world, particularly for artwear costumes. Research indicates a gap in the transformation of this bird into evening gown designs utilizing embellishment techniques. Therefore, the objective of this project is to discover innovative forms for visually transforming the Hyacinth Macaw into evening gown designs through the application of embellishment techniques. Beyond its beauty, the bird was chosen due to its endangered status (red list) according to the IUCN (2016), with the hope that this work will serve as a campaign tool for fauna conservation. The creative process employs Prof. Dharsono's Artistic Creation method, which comprises three stages: experimentation, contemplation, and formation. The final outcome will be three evening gown designs presented in a fashion show and a cinematic video.
