- Industri fashion terus berkembang dengan tuntutan inovasi desain yang menggabungkan warisan budaya dan teknologi modern. Penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk menghadirkan evening gown yang terinspirasi dari keindahan dan simbolisme bunga tunjung (nymphaea) melalui penggabungan teknik applique dan digital printing. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada upaya diversifikasi sumber inspirasi desain busana, pemanfaatan teknologi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan detail visual, serta pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya melalui interpretasi kontemporer. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pengintegrasian inspirasi flora lokal yang khas dengan teknik applique yang diperkaya oleh detail digital printing, yang belum banyak dieksplorasi dalam konteks evening gown. Metode penelitian menggunakan Double diamond model yang meliputi tahap discover, define, develop, dan deliver. Hasil penelitian ini berupa 3 evening gown dengan detail applique bunga tunjung yang diperkaya dengan tekstur dan warna melalui digital printing,. Karya ini disajikan pada Bandung Fashion Runway 2025 di TVRI Jawa Barat.
- The fashion industry continues to grow with the demands of design innovation that combines cultural heritage and modern technology. This creation aims to present an evening gown inspired by the beauty and symbolism of the nymphaea flower through a combination of appliqué and digital printing techniques. The urgency of this research lies in efforts to diversify sources of fashion design inspiration, utilize technology to improve efficiency and visual detail, and preserve cultural values through contemporary interpretations. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of distinctive local floral inspiration with applique techniques enriched by digital printing details, which have not been widely explored in the context of evening gowns. The research method uses the Double diamond model which includes the stages of discover, define, develop, and deliver. The results of this study are 3 evening gowns with nymphaea flower applique details enriched with texture and color through digital printing. This work was presented at Bandung Fashion Runway 2025 on TVRI West Java.
