- Perkembangan dunia fashion mendorong para desainer untuk terus berinovasi dalam teknik pembuatan busana, salah satunya teknik manipulasi kain yang tidak hanya estetis, tetapi juga memiliki nilai inovatif dan mampu bersaing di pasar global. Teknik manipulasi kain yang akan digunakan pada penciptaan ini yaitu sulaman, smock dan ruffles. Salah satu gaya busana yang banyak menggunakan teknik manipulasi kain yaitu lolita style yang memiliki ciri khas detail yang dekoratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghadirkan alternatif desain busana lolita yang memadukan kain gingham pattern dengan teknik manipulasi kain yang masih tergolong minim. Melalui metode penciptaan NW Ardini yang terdiri dari gagasan, konsep, desain, prototipe dan realisasi. Hasil penciptaan karya ini berupa empat busana lolita style yang disajikan dalam bentuk fashion show.
- The development of the fashion world encourages designers to continue to innovate in fashion making techniques, one of which is fabric manipulation techniques that are not only aesthetic, but also have innovative value and are able to compete in the global market. Fabric manipulation techniques that will be used in this creation are embroidery, smock and ruffles. One of the fashion styles that uses many fabric manipulation techniques is lolita style which is characterized by decorative details. This research aims to present an alternative lolita fashion design that combines gingham pattern fabric with fabric manipulation techniques that are still relatively minimal. Through NW Ardini's creation method which consists of idea, concept, design, prototype and realization. The result of this creation was four lolita style clothing presented in the form of a fashion show.
