Description

Karya musik berjudul The Sound of Fath merupakan interpretasi musikal terhadap peristiwa Fathu Makkah, yaitu penaklukan Kota Makkah oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW pada tahun ke-8 Hijriah. Karya ini berangkat dari analisis film Fathu Makkah, yang menampilkan unsur auditif seperti takbir, bunyi bedug, dan langkah kaki pasukan yang menghadirkan nuansa emosional. Penulis mengembangkan komposisi dengan pendekatan musikal berupa penggunaan tangga nada Hijaz, teknik interlocking, multimeter, perubahan tempo, dan perubahan birama. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Vokal, Suling Tanji, Carumba, Bass Elektrik, Sequencer, Bedug, Darbuka, dan perangkat Perkusi. Karya ini bertujuan sebagai bagian dari Tugas Akhir Program Studi Angklung dan Musik Bambu, serta diharapkan dapat menambah referensi dan repertoar musik interpretasi berbasis musik bambu.

The Sound of Fath is a musical composition that serves as an interpretative representation of the historical event of Fathu Makkah—the peaceful conquest of Mecca by Prophet Muhammad SAW in the 8th year of the Hijri calendar. The work originates from an analytical study of the film Fathu Makkah, which incorporates auditory elements such as takbir (chanting of "Allahu Akbar"), the sound of bedug drums, and the marching footsteps of the Muslim army, all of which evoke a deep emotional atmosphere. These sonic cues were translated into a musical structure through the application of various compositional techniques, including the use of the Hijaz scale, interlocking patterns, multimeter structures, tempo modulation, and meter changes. The instrumentation includes voice, suling tanji (a bamboo flute variant), carumba, electric bass, sequencer, bedug, darbuka, and a variety of percussion instruments. This composition was created as part of the Final Project for the Angklung and Bamboo Music Study Program, and it aims to contribute to the body of interpretative music works rooted in bamboo-based instrumentation, while also expanding the repertoire of contemporary Islamic-themed music compositions.
