Hoax atau berita palsu merupakan fenomena sosial yang terus berkembang seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi. Dalam menghadapi situasi ini, masyarakat sering kali dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk menyaring informasi yang diterima. Tujuan penulis adalah untuk menggambarkan bagaimana hoax berdampak pada pengambilan keputusan di masyarakat. Penulis melakukan pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur dan dieksplorasi menggunakan teori representatif untuk memudahkan penulis dalam menerjemahkan realita kasus ke dalam naskah lakon yang berjudul “PEGAWAI HOTEL KOPLAK”. Dalam penyusunannya, penulis menggunakan metode Well Made-Play. Naskah ini menceritakan tentang 4 pegawai hotel yang sudah bekerja selama 5 tahun bersama. Pada suatu hari ada sebuah rumor beredar mengenai salah satu rekannya yang membuat para pegawai hotel membicarakan hal tersebut secara terus-menerus sampai menyebabkan situasi tidak terkendali. Dalam penyelesaiannya, 4 rekan ini terus berusaha mempercayai satu sama lain dan mencari kebenarannya.

Hoax or fake news is a social phenomenon that continues to grow along with advances in information technology. In dealing with this situation, people are often faced with the challenge of filtering the information they receive. The author’s goal is to describe how hoaxes impact decision-making in society. The author collected data using literature studies and explored using representative theory to make it easierfor the author to translate the reality of the case into a play script entitled “PEGAWAI HOTEL KOPLAK”. In compiling it, the author used the Well Made-Play method. This script tells the story of 4 hotel employees who have worked together for 5 years. One day there was a rumor circulating about one of his collegues that made the hotel employees talk about it continuosly until it caused the situation to get out of control. In solving it, these 4 collegues continued to trust each other and find the truth.
