Industri mode berinovasi dengan konsep convertible fashion untuk memenuhi
kebutuhan konsumen akan fleksibilitas dan keberlanjutan. Penciptaan karya ini
mengeksplorasi penerapan konsep tersebut pada koleksi ready to wear deluxe
melalui aplikasi embellishment resin dan fabric painting yang terinspirasi spider
lily. Urgensi penciptaan karya ini terletak pada potensi peningkatan efisiensi
konsumsi, perpanjangan siklus hidup pakaian, serta penawaran nilai fungsional dan
estetika yang lebih tinggi. Adapun tujuannya adalah untuk menghasilkan koleksi
busana inovatif, serbaguna, dan artistik melalui penggabungan convertible fashion
dengan teknik embellishment resin dan fabric painting inspirasi spider lily . Untuk
mencapai tujuan tersebut, penciptaan karya ini menggunakan pendekatan design
thinking yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yakni: empathize, define, ideate, prototype,
dan test. Pendekatan ini kemudian diadaptasi menjadi enam tahap dengan
menambah tahap forming, sehingga bisa disebut design thinking plus. Hasilnya
adalah tiga look karya busana utama yang dapat dipadupadankan menjadi sembilan
tampilan berbeda yang menawarkan fleksibilitas gaya bagi pemakainya. -
The fashion industry innovates with the concept of convertible fashion to meet
consumer needs for flexibility and sustainability. The creation of this work explores
the application of this concept to the ready-to-wear deluxe collection through the
application of resin embellishment and fabric painting inspired by spider lilies. The
urgency of creating this work lies in the potential for increasing consumption
efficiency, extending the life cycle of clothing, and offering higher functional and
aesthetic values. The goal is to produce an innovative, versatile, and artistic fashion
collection by combining convertible fashion with resin embellishment techniques
and spider lily-inspired fabric painting. To achieve this goal, the creation of this
work uses a design thinking approach consisting of five stages, namely: empathize,
define, ideate, prototype, and test. This approach was then adapted into six stages
by adding the forming stage, so it can be called design thinking plus. The result is
three main fashion looks that can be combined into nine different looks that offer
style flexibility for the wearer. -
