- Industri fashion merupakan salah satu sektor yang senantiasa mengalami perkembangan. Inovasi dan kreativitas sumber ide berperan penting dalam menghasilkan karya yang menarik dan inovatif di dunia fashion yang semakin bersaing. Pada penciptaan ini, sumber ide terinspirasi dari salah satu terumbu karang yang tumbuh di perairan Indonesia Indophyllia macassarensis, yakni terumbu karang yang terancam punah yang memiliki keunikan visual dan lokasi geografisnya memberikan potensi untuk dieksplorasi sebagai sumber inspirasi motif. Tujuan penciptaan karya ini adalah menambah keberagaman bentuk koleksi ready to wear dengan teknik digital printing dan pleats. Digital printing dipilih karena dapat memvisualisasikan motif Indophyllia macassarensis lebih jelas. Pleats dipilih untuk memberikan kesan dimensi dan tekstur menarik pada busana. Adapun metode penciptaan memiliki lima tahapan yaitu gagasan, konsep, rancangan, prototipe, dan eksekusi. Hasil proses penciptaan karya ini berupa lima tampilan busana ready to wear yang disajikan dalam bentuk fashion show di Bandung Fashion Runway 2025, TVRI Jawa Barat.
- The fashion industry is one sector that is constantly developing. Innovation and creativity of the source of ideas play an important role in producing interesting and innovative works in the increasingly competitive fashion world. In this creation, the source of the idea was inspired by one of the coral reefs that grows in Indonesian waters, Indophyllia macassarensis, namely an endangered coral reef that has a unique visual and geographical location that provides the potential to be explored as a source of motif inspiration. The purpose of creating this work is to add diversity to the form of the ready-to-wear collection with digital printing and pleats techniques. Digital printing was chosen because it can visualize the Indophyllia macassarensis motif more clearly. Pleats were chosen to give the impression of dimension and interesting texture to the clothes. The creation method has five stages, namely ideas, concepts, designs, prototypes, and execution. The results of the creation process of this work are five ready-to-wear fashion looks presented in the form of a fashion show on Bandung Fashion Runway 2025, TVRI Jawa Barat.
