- Karakter Princess Karina dalam film The Little Mermaid versi live action menjadi inspirasi utama dalam penciptaan karya busana ready to wear deluxe. Karina digambarkan sebagai Princess dari Laut Saithe, unsur visual karakter ini diolah melalui teknik embellishment berupa teknik payet ronce dan teknik applique, yang digunakan untuk menciptakan visual dan motif yang terinspirasi dari ekor Karina. Tujuan dari penciptaan karya ini adalah untuk menerjemahkan karakter fiksi ke dalam desain busana sekaligus mengangkat mitos putri duyung. Adapun metode penciptaan karya ini menggunakan tahapan metode dari Prof. Husen Hendriyana yang terdiri dari tahap 1) pra perancangan, 2) perancangan, 3) perwujudan, dan 4) penyajian. Proses penciptaan karya ini menghasilkan empat karya ready to wear deluxe yang disajikan dalam bentuk foto dan video dokumentasi yang menampilkan keseluruhan konsep dan desain busana.
- The character of Princess Karina in the live action version of The Little Mermaid is the main inspiration in the creation of ready to wear deluxe fashion. Karina is depicted as a Princess from the Saithe Sea, the visual elements of this character are processed through embellishment techniques in the form of ronce sequins and applique techniques, which are used to create visuals and motifs inspired by Karina’s tail. The purpose of creating this work is to translate fictional characters into fashion designs while raising the myth of the mermaid. The method of creating this work uses the stages of the method from Prof. Husen Hendriyana which consists of stages 1) pre-design, 2) design, 3) embodiment, and 4) presentation. The process of creating this work resulted in four ready to wear deluxe works presented in the form of photos and video documentation that display the overall concept and design of the fashion.
