KONSEP DIRI TERHADAP PERAWATAN TALI PUSAT PADA PENULISAN SKENARIO FILM FIKSI
“SUKMA” - Description
- “Sukma” is a fictional film screenplay based on culture story that explores the concept of self in relation to the traditional practice of umbilical cord care. The screenplay tells the story of a tradition found in Kebumen, Central Java, where parents consume their child’s umbilical cord after the puput puser (detachment of the umbilical stump) ceremony. In Javanese, “Sukma” means “soul”, which represents the core of the narrative: a father’s fear for the spiritual safety of his child. This screenplay was created as an effort to preserve cultural heritage, as the tradition of umbilical cord care has increasingly been abandoned by modern society. The research methods used in the development of the screenplay include literature studies, interviews, and field observations, and the creative process was carried out through three main stages:exploration, design, and realization. “Sukma” ultimately becomes a fictional screenplay that potrays the life of Javanese society in Kebumen, as well as characters that represent the self-concept of Javanese individuals living between traditional customs and Islamic teachings.
