Description

Dalam proses pendidikan seni rupa, pameran tugas akhir tidak hanya menjadi bagian
dari syarat kelulusan, tetapi juga menjadi ruang awal bagi mahasiswa seni untuk
memperkenalkan karya dan identitas artistiknya kepada publik. Namun, persoalan yang
muncul adalah bagaimana karya-karya tersebut sering kali hanya dipahami sebatas
pencapaian teknis dan formal, tanpa membongkar lebih dalam narasi personal dan
artistik yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis
bagaimana persona artistik seniman dibentuk dan direpresentasikan dalam karya tugas
akhir pada pameran Ground:01. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah pada bagaimana
hubungan antara ekspresi visual dan latar belakang personal maupun sosial membentuk
citra diri seniman sebagai individu kreatif dalam karya tugas akhir dalam sebuah
pameran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan metode deskriptif
interpretatif menggunakan konsep dramaturgi Goffman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa setiap seniman yang sedang melaksanakan atau telah melaksanakan tugas akhir
memiliki persona artistik yang unik dalam karyanya, hal itu dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi
dari pemilihan medium, tema, gaya visual, latar belakang personal dan sosial masingmasing
seniman.

Within the art education process, final project exhibitions are not only part of the
graduation requirements, but also the initial space for art students to introduce their
work and artistic identity to the public. However, the problem that arises is how these
works are often only perceived as technical and formal achievements, without delving
further into the personal and artistic narratives embodied in them. This research aims
to analyze how the artist's artistic persona is formed and represented in the final project
works in the Ground:01 Exhibition. The main concern of this research is how the
relationship between visual expression and personal and social background establishes
the artist's self-image as a creative individual in the final project in an exhibition. This
research uses a case study approach with an interpretative descriptive method using
Goffman's concept of dramaturgy. The findings indicate that each artist who is currently
carrying out or has carried out their final project has a unique artistic persona in their
work, which is influenced by a combination of medium selection, theme, visual style,
personal and social background of each artist.
