Abstract

Karya ini berjudul “Pemeranan Tokoh Ketua dalam Naskah Nabi
Kembar Karya Sławomir Mrożek terjemahan Djum’an”. Tujuannya
adalah menghadirkan tokoh Ketua sebagai representasi absurditas
kekuasaan dan moralitas pejabat yang licik. Penciptaan ini
berlandaskan pada teori absurditas Martin Esslin dan metode
pemeranan Suyatna Anirun. Metode Suyatna Anirun digunakan
untuk menggali kesadaran tubuh, jiwa, dan ruang aktor agar proses
pemeranan tidak hanya teknis, tetapi juga reflektif dan manusiawi.
Melalui tahap analisis naskah, eksplorasi tubuh, improvisasi, dan
perwujudan peran, tokoh Ketua dikembangkan sebagai simbol
kekuasaan yang rapuh dan kehilangan makna. Tokoh Ketua
digambarkan sebagai pejabat yang licik dan manipulatif,
mencerminkan absurditas manusia modern yang terperangkap
dalam sistem kekuasaan yang ia ciptakan sendiri. Hasil penciptaan
menunjukkan bahwa gestur mekanis, repetisi dialog, dan ekspresi
tubuh yang terkontrol mampu menampilkan paradoks antara
kelicikan dan kehampaan eksistensial.
Karya ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya penerapan metode
pemeranan Suyatna Anirun dalam teater absurd serta memperdalam
pemahaman tentang absurditas kekuasaan dalam konteks
kemanusiaan.

This work is entitled "The Role of the Chief Character in the
Manuscript of the Twin Prophets by Sławomir Mrożek". The goal is to
present the figure of the Chairman as a representation of the absurdity of
power and the morality of cunning officials. This creation is based on Martin
Esslin's theory of absurdity and Suyatna Anirun's acting method. The
Suyatna Anirun method is used to explore the awareness of the actor's body,
soul, and space so that the acting process is not only technical, but also
reflective and human. Through the stages of script analysis, body
exploration, improvisation, and role embodiment, the figure of the Chairman
is developed as a symbol of power that is fragile and loses meaning. The
Chairperson is portrayed as a cunning and manipulative official, reflecting
the absurdity of modern humans trapped in a power system that he created
himself. The results of creation show that mechanical gestures, dialogue
repetition, and controlled body expressions are capable of displaying the
paradox between cunning and existential emptiness.
This work is expected to enrich the application of Suyatna Anirun's
acting method in absurd theater and deepen the understanding of the
absurdity of power in the context of humanity.
