Abstract

Skripsi tugas akhir karya seni minat pemeranan ini membahas konsep pemeranan tokoh Doj dalam lakon Rumah yang Dikuburkan karya Sam Shepard yang diadaptasi oleh Afrizal Malna dari lakon Buried Child. Tokoh Doj ditafsirkan sebagai simbol disfungsi keluarga, keberadaannya memancarkan keretakan relasi, trauma psikologis, dan hilangnya jati diri. Melalui pendekatan akting Stanislavski yang diterapkan oleh Suyatna Anirun, penulis mengeksplorasi penciptaan tokoh Doj secara fisik, emosional, sosial dan intelektual. Proses pemeranan (penciptaan peran) ini dilakukan dengan latar keresahan sosial kontemporer seperti krisis identitas, tekanan ekonomi, dan teknoloogi yang memisahkan interaksi keluarga. Karya ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi teoritis, praktis, sosial-budaya, dan akademik dalam pengembangan seni peran serta penerapan konteks adaptasi lakon asing.

This final project thesis in the performing arts, with a focus on acting, examines the character-construction concept for Doj in Rumah yang Dikuburkan—Sam Shepard’s play as adapted by Afrizal Malna from Buried Child. Doj is interpreted as a symbol of family dysfunction, his presence embodying relational fractures, psychological trauma, and a loss of identity. Employing the Stanislavskian acting approach as articulated by Suyatna Anirun, the author explores Doj’s creation across physical, emotional, social, and intellectual dimensions. This acting process (role preparation) unfolds against the backdrop of contemporary social anxieties—identity crises, economic pressures, and technologies that disrupt familial interaction. The study is expected to yield theoretical, practical, socio-cultural, and academic contributions to the development of acting methodology and to the practice of adapting foreign dramatic works within a local context.
