- Abstract
- Penelitian ini membahas eksistensi seni Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi di Desa Pantai Mekar, Kecamatan Muara Gembong, Kabupaten Bekasi, sebagai salah satu bentuk kesenian Islam yang terus bertahan di tengah arus modernisasi. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada dua hal, yaitu bagaimana eksistensi kelompok Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi tetap terjaga, serta bagaimana bentuk adaptasi dan strategi yang mereka lakukan dalam menghadapi perkembangan musik modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam terhadap pembina, vokalis, pendiri, dan anggota kelompok, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi seni hadrah di wilayah tersebut masih kuat karena didukung oleh faktor internal berupa komitmen pembina, kekompakan personel, serta rutinitas latihan yang terstruktur; dan faktor eksternal seperti dukungan masyarakat, peran pemerintah desa, serta fungsi religius hadrah yang tetap relevan. Kelompok Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi juga melakukan adaptasi musikal melalui inovasi instrumen seperti rebana, bass, darbuka, dan tam, serta variasi pola tabuhan dan aransemen. Adaptasi ini dilakukan tanpa meninggalkan nilai spiritual dan tradisi dasar hadrah, sejalan dengan konsep adaptasi budaya yang menekankan keberlanjutan tradisi dengan modifikasi terukur. Selain itu, manajemen pertunjukan yang lebih profesional serta regenerasi anggota muda menjadi strategi penting untuk mempertahankan keberlangsungan kelompok.
- This study examines the existence of the Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi art group in Pantai Mekar Village, Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency, as a form of Islamic performing art that continues to endure amid the pressures of modernization. The research focuses on two main aspects: how the existence of the Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi group is maintained and the forms of adaptation and strategies employed in responding to the development of modern music. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the coach, vocalist, founder, and group members, as well as documentation. The findings indicate that the continued existence of hadrah art in the area is supported by internal factors, including the commitment of the coach, strong group cohesion, and structured rehearsal routines, as well as external factors such as community support, the involvement of the village government, and the sustained relevance of hadrah’s religious function. Musically, the Hadrah Ashabul Kahfi group adapts through instrumental innovations, including the use of tambourine, bass, darbuka, and tam, along with variations in rhythmic patterns and musical arrangements. These adaptations are implemented without abandoning the spiritual values and fundamental traditions of hadrah, reflecting the concept of cultural adaptation that emphasizes the continuity of tradition through measured and selective modifications. Furthermore, more professional performance management and the regeneration of younger members play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of the group.
