Description

Alih fungsi lahan di kawasan Puncak, Bogor, untuk pariwisata dan komersial
telah menyebabkan degradasi lingkungan serius, seperti deforestasi, penurunan
resapan air, serta peningkatan banjir dan longsor. Sebagai solusi, Kelompok Tani
Hutan (KTH) Cibulao mengembangkan sistem agroforestri kopi yang mendukung
restorasi ekosistem dan ketahanan ekonomi masyarakat lokal.
Film dokumenter Secangkir Lestari bertujuan merekam dan menyuarakan
upaya tersebut, serta meningkatkan kesadaran publik akan pentingnya konservasi
berbasis komunitas. Dalam produksi ini, peran yang diambil adalah sebagai
Director of Photography (DoP), yang merancang dan mewujudkan konsep visual
guna mendukung pesan naratif. Metode penciptaan menggunakan pendekatan
partisipatif, dengan teknik handheld camera, point-of-view shot, dan komposisi
visual yang merefleksikan keterhubungan manusia dan alam.
Peran sinematografi menjadi media edukasi visual dalam Secangkir Lestari.
Melalui metode kualitatif berupa observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam,
teknik handheld dan POV memperkuat keterlibatan emosional serta menciptakan
pengalaman menonton yang imersif. Visual yang dihasilkan lebih dekat dan
dinamis, menampilkan realitas keseharian masyarakat secara organik dan
memperkuat ikatan antara subjek dan penonton.
Dokumenter ini mengusung konsep visual storytelling sebagai alat
komunikasi efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran publik tentang konservasi
lingkungan dan mendorong kolaborasi dalam pengelolaan agroforestri kopi secara
berkelanjutan

Land-use conversion in the Puncak area, Bogor, for tourism and commercial
purposes has caused severe environmental degradation, such as deforestation,
reduced water catchment areas, and increased occurrences of floods and
landslides. As a solution, the Forest Farmers Group (Kelompok Tani Hutan, KTH)
Cibulao developed a coffee agroforestry system that supports ecosystem restoration
and strengthens the local community’s economic resilience.
The documentary film Secangkir Lestari aims to document and voice these
efforts, as well as raise public awareness about the importance of community-based
conservation. In this production, the role taken is that of Director of Photography
(DoP), responsible for designing and realizing the visual concept to support the
narrative message. The creation method uses a participatory approach, employing
handheld camera techniques, point-of-view shots, and visual compositions that
reflect the connection between humans and nature.
Cinematography plays a role as a visual educational medium in Secangkir
Lestari. Through qualitative methods including direct observation and in-depth
interviews, handheld and POV techniques strengthen emotional engagement and
create an immersive viewing experience. The visuals produced are closer and more
dynamic, portraying the community’s daily reality organically and reinforcing the
bond between subjects and viewers
This documentary adopts visual storytelling as an effective communication
tool to increase public awareness of environmental conservation and encourage
collaboration in the sustainable management of coffee agroforestry.
